Biography - Lothar Krappmann


In 2003, Lothar Krappmann was appointed one of 18 members of the UN Committee for Children's Rights. In 2007 he was re-appointed for another four years.

Until 2001, Lothar was part of the research staff at the Max-Planck-Institute for Education Research in Berlin where he focused on socialisation theory, social and moral development of children in middle childhood, children's peer interactions, relationships and groups, on the links between family and peer relationships, on day-care institutions and on observational research methodology on children's rights.
