National organisations across the UK

Here are a few of the organisations that might be of interest to conference delegates:

Play England – part of the National Children’s Bureau.

Playboard Northern Ireland - the leading agency for the development and 
promotion of children and young people's play provision in Northern Ireland.

Play Scotland - promoting children and young people's right to play in Scotland.

Children’s Commissioner for England - The Commissioner and her team make sure that adults in charge listen to children and young people.

Children’s Play Information Service – The Children's Play Information Service (CPIS) is a national information service on children’s play, part of the National Children’s Bureau’s Library and Information Service.

Children England - the organisation for the children, young people and families voluntary sector in England.

Children in Northern Ireland – the regional umbrella organisation for the Children's sector in Northern Ireland.

Children in Scotland - the national agency for voluntary, statutory and professional organisations and individuals working with children and their families in Scotland.

Fair Play for Children - a membership campaigning organisation promoting the child's right to play, to government, media and public. 

National Association of Toy and Leisure Libraries (NATLL) - the national body for toy and leisure libraries in the UK.  have used the campaign title Play Matters since 1983.

Northern Ireland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People - NICCY’s job is to promote and safeguard the rights and best interests of children and young people.

Playlink – multi-faceted independent play and informal leisure consultancy working in the areas of design, planning, policy, strategy, local engagement, fundraising and organisational development.

Playwork Partnerships - based at the University of Gloucestershire, is best described as a "networking organisation" and is currently made up of the following components: University of Gloucestershire; Playwork Learning & Skills; Playwork Projects.

Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People - promotes and safeguards the rights of children and young people living in Scotland.

SkillsActive – the sector skills council for playwork in the UK.
